My bad , I was trying to execute the tests inside U-boot. Now its working fine.

reboot -n ; reboot -nf is designed for booted POSIX systems to do soft
reboot, e.g. after a test shell. There is no support for using the
reset command used by U-Boot.
Are you trying to execute tests in a booted POSIX shell or are you
trying to execute tests inside U-Boot? (Testing inside U-Boot is not
supported, yet - work has started on that but it won't be in the next
release 2018.11)
What command are you trying to execute and exactly what is the state
of the DUT at that point?
You will need to invest in remote power control to proceed with LAVA.
A variety of solutions are available, depending on your DUT but it is
essential to getting useful data out of LAVA.
