Hi,
initially we have plan to connect 5 boards to my lava-master and
lava-dispatchers.
Please can some let me know servers configurations for this setup as
mentioned below?
a. Can you let me know the LAVA master server configuration ? (
Processor/DDR/memory etc... configurations details)
b. Can you let me know the Dispatcher server configuration ?
(Processor/DDR/memory etc...configuration details) . ( I guess Dispatcher server configuration may be less than Master server configuration)
Both of these really depend on the target you're planning to use. In my experience adb/fastboot usually require more resources. We try to aim at one physical CPU core per device in such situation. If you don't plan to use adb/fastboot you don't need as much. As for master it should be able to deal with the amount of logs your jobs generate. If you don't have very long logs, then master doesn't need to be very powerful. However it's worth looking ahead and preparing to expand the lab. So more powerful master should be considered. You can also think about hosting your master in the cloud. This gives you even more flexibility.
we can use the Dispatchers as below Dispatchers: ######## rpi3 (very slow) rpi4 https://www.seeedstudio.com/ODYSSEY-X86J4105800-p-4445.html https://www.lattepanda.com odroid-xu3
Master-Servers: (May be) ############ HP proliant configurations
c. PDU (I guess initial we have plan to connect 5 targets) . (If
possible please can you share me the Amazon link to orfer)
The sky is the limit here. You can use GPIO relay with RPi[1], ethernet relay[2], managed PDU [3] or something else as long as it can be controlled remotely by software.
d. Serial port hub . (I guess initial we have plan to connect 5
targets) . (If possible please can you share me the Amazon link to order)
hmm, do you mean serial concentrator? How do you connect to UART on your boards?
