After the device tag is created. Go to the individual device's page, something like https://staging.validation.linaro.org/admin/lava_scheduler_app/device/stagin...
On that page click on "Advanced properties (Show)" (located towards the bottom of the page) which will bring up an extended UI. There is a multi selection box for Tags on that. Select the device tags that you want to assign for that specific device and then "Save" your changes.
